  1. It’s not working… i’m doing all the above, still when i get into the usb disk, i can delete, edit, and open the file without any problems.. i checked that the file system is indeed fat32.. (i’m using HxD to open the disk, and i verified that i’m opening it in write mode as well) what could be wrong?

  2. I couple of things you can do is check that once the hex value is changed and saved come out of the hex editor and then reload the editor again and check again if its really saved. The second thing which you’ll most likely need to do is that once written, disconnect the usb key safely and then reconnect it and see if you can delete the autorun.inf file.
